Community Based Drugs Workers (CBDI) are a project in Carlow Regional Youth Services that works from St Dympna’s and a number of other venues in Carlow town and county.

We provide support to individuals, families and communities to overcome issues related to substance misuse use through provision of information and education, referral, group and individual supports.

The Community Based Drugs Worker service (CBDI) works with young people (aged 12 -18 years) and adults affected by substance misuse.

You can use this service:
• To talk to a community based drugs worker about an issue relating to substance use.
• If you are worried about a family member or loved one and would like to talk it through.
• If you’d like support maintaining your recovery.

CBDI offers resilience training; Community Reinforcement Approach Programme, (CRA) and help with SMART tools.
CBDI provides a drug and alcohol awareness programme.
