Community Sponsorship is a practical way for local groups in Ireland to welcome and support a refugee family to rebuild their lives here.
It is based on a simple idea: communities can play a direct role in offering protection, inclusion and support. Rather than relying solely on state systems, groups of volunteers come together to help a refugee family settle into their new community.
Nasc supports communities to take part in this programme and provides guidance throughout the process.
We have recently received Expressions of Interests from volunteers in Carlow and will be hosting an Information Session on Community Sponsorship for individuals who may be interested in forming or joining a Community Sponsorship.
The information session will take place on:
Thursday, 28 May
6:30pm – 7:30pm
Cathedral Parish Centre
