The YARC Project provides support and advocacy for young people. The project aims to provide support to young people who are having difficulties and engaging in ‘at risk’ behaviours. Our primary focus is to work with young people from 12 -18 year old age group and their families, but not excluding other age groups where an assessment of risk indicates that they can benefit from our support. It is a first port of call for young people who are experiencing difficulties and aims to enhance the social and personal development of vulnerable young people. Staff work with young people to increase their capacity to recognise, manage and reduce their ‘at risk’ behaviour. They also aim to build resilience in vulnerable young people so that they can make good life choices and remain in education and training.
